First P&E Conference Vienna

From September 30th to October 1st, 2021, the University of Vienna will host the First P&E Conference Vienna. Under the title "Responsibility and Cooperation in Times of Uncertainty", we want to create a platform for students at the intersection of economics and philosophy (especially Master and PhD) to present and discuss their work. In addition, there will be two keynote speeches by Johanna Thoma and John Kay as well as a discussion panel. The conference will take place in person, but we are also planning a video broadcast.

+++Call for Abstracts Deadline Extension+++

In order to provide an opportunity to as many students as possible to participate in our conference this year, we are extending the deadline to submit abstracts to Saturday, 31 July. We are also working hard to ensure that we can partially contribute towards student presenters' travel expenses.

Submissions on a wide range of theoretical and practical topics related to this year's topic are welcome. There will be seven students' presentations (15 minutes plus Q&A) as well as poster presentations. We especially encourage Master and PhD students to participate, and we aim at a fair representation of, for example, gender and academic progess. Please submit your abstract (300 to 500 words), which contains an overview and your main argumentation.

If you are interested in participating...

We encourage not only students from the University of Vienna, but also international students to participate. Please register your interest with the following form, so that we can keep you updated on all further developments.
